Be sure to take the picture straight forward not at any angle. A picture is required because California used many different fonts (letter style) so to be sure we need a picture.After purchase has been completed:Go to your recent purchases tab. Click on the send a message to seller.The longer you wait to send the picture the longer it will take to create and ship your item.Then• Remove your license plates from the vehicle• Clean your license platesRemove DMV stickers carefully. • Using a “0000” steel wool pad, or green scuff pad (sold at any hardware store for about $3). Scuff the surface of the plate to ensure paint adherence.DO NOT USE SAND PAPER OR A WIRE WHEEL THIS WILL CAUSE DEEP GROOVES ON YOUR PLATE DUE TO THE CHEAP MATERIAL CURRENTLY USED BY THE DMV (BELIEVE ME I know I’ve made that mistake) older Plates like original blue and black plates are better metal and can have sand paper or wire wheels used on them.• paint your plates (you can use a good quality spray can if you do not have a paint gun, remember the cheaper the paint, the more coats you will need. I found that a good quality paint does the job with one coat) see picture of the spray paint brand we use in our listing.• For the California and year tab place masking tape (not included) long enough to lift the entire set at once with space for your finger tips at both ends. See pics in this listing for photo instructions.**Please note that the year tab is slightly lower than the California on purpose as in original stamped plates**• Lift the transfer tape, place on the license plate just above the digits ensuring to place evenly. Note Rub your finger nail over the decal to ensure the transfer.• Pull the transfer tape off from right to left (it’s important to remove from right to left)• Next use masking tape (not included) and place over your first digit (be sure to use a straight edge of the digit to guide the tape so you can guide it) rub your finger over the digit and lift the letter off the sheet and place on the license plate digit using the straightest edge as a guide.• Lift the transfer tape slowly and gently (if for some reason the digit lifts up with the tape place it back down and rub down with your finger nail again (this is rare but it could happen so in case of any error we supply extras)• Repeat for every digit• Your plate is done.If you have any questions please message us prior to purchasing so we can clearly cover any details you may have questions about.We ship with tracking number usually by the next day but always within specified time.Please do not leave negative feedback for post office errors.
