Description: 1955 Topps Double Headers #101/102 Bill Wilson & Bill Tremel. Scarce unperforated variety. Graded Mint 9 by SGC. Pop 2. Qualities include outstanding centering, four sharp corners, superior color & registration, and a fine reverse side. This is the highest graded example by SGC and is one of only two Mint condition cards to be encapsulated among all the major grading services. The ratio of perforated to unperforated specimens is about 40 to 1. There is much speculation among hobbyists as to the source of these rare, unperforated 1955 Topps Double Headers. Due to the population figures, the condition, the means of distribution, as well as the distinctive factory cut they possess, it is most likely that a small number of these unperforated cards made their way out of the factory before the perforations were added. As such, they are, in all probability, a pre-production sample that was never sold in wax packs but has an original factory cut like those that are perforated.
