1955-1972 Jeep CJ5 and CJ6 "Under the Passengers" seat gas tank

Description: TREX0041-RH1955-1972 Jeep CJ 5 and CJ 6. This is an "Under the Passengers" seat tank with 6 screws to install the sending unit and an angled filler pipe. The pickup tube comes installed on the top of the tank not on the bottom like the metal tanks. The change in fuel pickup will require extending the fuel line through the floor of the Jeep to the top of the tank. In-line fuel filter required. Includes new 6-hole sending unit gasket. Verify that the sending unit is installed with 6 screws NOT a lock ring. If the sending unit installs with a lock ring, tank # TREX0042 (eBay #391301309376) is the correct tank. Dimensions 25" x 18 1/2" x 6 1/2".*This is NOT a direct replacement tank but a second tank to go with your main "Under the Drivers" seat. Jeep did not offer a fuel tank for "Under the Passengers" seat. If you are interested in this tank, you will need to purchase at minimum the straps, a gas cap, filler plate and filler plate grommet.
