Description: Up for sale is one of several New England and U.S. Geological Survey maps from the early 1900’s to the 1950's that I've listed on Ebay. All of these maps are guaranteed to be old and original, and have great color (better than the scan), and content, including towns, rivers, lakes, mountains, roads (but no superhighways or interstates!), railroad routes, and more. All maps are in good to excellent condition, and any noticeable defects are noted below. The borders on these maps are 1-2”, so there’s plenty of room to trim any “border defects” and preserve the image or reduce the size of the map to fit a particular frame. In each auction, I’ve scanned a close-up of some parts of the map, and then tried to fit most of the entire map (minus the border) in the first scan. Below I’ve listed the specifics of the map in this auction, but I cannot include all the towns and highlights, so please email me with questions if you need more information about any of these maps! Please remember that these are maps of geographical areas (called “quads”), so they typically cover a lot of territory, sometimes several counties or townships. We will roll and ship these maps in a cardboard tube. I can combine shipping on multiple map purchases! The map in this listing is the Shutesbury, Massachusetts quad, dated 1954, published by the U.S. Army Map Service, and includes all or most of Shutesbury, Leverett and Pelham. Specific features include Atkinson Reservoir, Brushy Mountain, and the west side of the Quabbin Reservoir. The map measures about 20 x 29", and is in very good condition with great color. It would look really nice in a frame. Please email with questions before bidding! And check out our Ebay store, Paper Emporium, for hundreds of vintage photos and more collectibles. Thanks for looking!
