With an introduction by Robert Bloch. In original unclipped dustwrapper designed by Mel Hunter. This anthology contains seventeen stories by Matheson including Born of Man and Woman, Third from The Sun, Mad House, To Fit the Crime and Dress of White Silk. The titular work Born of Man and Woman is in the form of an internal diary kept by what the reader assumes is a deformed child chained in a basement and abused by its parents. Richard Matheson's work fits primarily in the genres of fantasy, horror and science fiction. He is best known as the author of I Am Legend, which was published the same year as this anthology. A lot of Matheson's works are simple sketches with twist endings, always keeping the reader guessing. Matheson also wrote several television episodes for famous series such as Star Trek and The Twilight Zone. CONDITION In original full cloth binding held in original unclipped dustwrapper.
