Description: Gorgeous, vintage, genuine ostrich leather handbag by Fassbender and made in England for the renowned department store~H. A & E. Smith LTD. Bermuda. The store was founded in Hamilton, Bermuda in 1889. It was a very British Department Store specializing in British clothing, accessories & fine goods. It is no longer in business. The ostrich leather on this bag is very soft and supple. The inside of the bag is suede and retains all of the original labels and tags. It is in excellent condition with the only issues being a slight perfume odor on the inside. There were no perfume spills, but perhaps a perfumed hankie was stored in the bag. It has been extremely well cared for and stored. I have not cleaned it in any way-nor applied any products. I'm sure there are many methods for the perfume smell, but I will leave that up to the buyer. It measures 10.5" long x 7.5" high (not including handle) x 3.5" wide and weighs 1 lb.. The strap drop on the swing handle is 5.5". This is an exceptional bag that would be a perfect addition to a collection or for use. Please email any questions. Thanks for looking.
