The cover is franked on the reverse with Nicaragua Scott #C240, the 5 centavo Will Rogers stamp from 1939 and #C246-C247, the 25¢ and 30¢ President Samoza United States Visit stamps from 1939. The stamps are tied to the cover by difficult to read boxed postmarks that appear to be dated September 30, 1943. There is a Brownsville, Tex. Air Base Br. postmark dated October 2, 1943, a San Antonio, Tex. Registered postmark dated October 3, 1943, a Los Angeles, Calif. Terminal Annex postmark dated October 10, 1943, a Los Angeles, Calif. (West Los Angeles Sta.) Registered postmark dated October 11, 1943 and s Los Angeles, Calif. Registered postmark dated October 12, 1943. Censor tape seals one end: "EXAMINED BY 9837".
