Description: This rare and genuine original neon sign from the 1940s/50s features the word "PRESCRIPTIONS" in bold red lettering. Measuring 6 1/2 inches by 47 1/2 inches, this sign is a perfect addition to any collection of advertising memorabilia. Crafted in the United States, this sign is a unique piece of American history. Its vibrant colors and original design make it a must-have for collectors of vintage advertising. Whether you're a fan of neon signs or simply appreciate unique and rare pieces of memorabilia, this "PRESCRIPTIONS" sign is sure to impress. This item was rescued from an estate sale and recently was serviced, the black heat paint replaced as needed and mounted with new mounting brackets on a black board. Includes a new transformer with on off switch. The outer glass does not light up and is known as a ‘dead frame’ which the sign is attached to. Some white paint remains from the previous owner but does not affect the functioning or appearance of the beautiful classic sign. I have only found one other which is depicted in the photos. That one is for sale in England for $4,000. Neon ‘Pharmacy’ signs are more common. This sign is believed to be from a Pharmacy on Madison Ave in Albany New York. Finally, the neon appears more pink than red to me, but check all scans for condition and appearance. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you.
