Description: Up for sale is a vintage 1940 Taylor Instruments Desk Top Weather Station with two mounted instrument gauges in a Solid Mahogany Tilt Case and Base. The tilting instrument panel makes it easy to read the gauges. The gauge on the left has temperature at the top and humidity at the bottom. The right-side gauge is for barometric pressure. At the base of this dial reads: Copyright 1940 Taylor Instrument Companies Rochester NY USA. The top tilting panel is 8 7/8" long by 4 5/8" tall and 7/8" thick. The two inset gauges have 3 1/2" diameters. This panel is supported by two upright brass support arms that allow it to tilt at different angles. The base is 10 7/8" long by 2 3/8" wide. The back of the thermometer and humidity gauge is vented with a brass vent. The back of the barometer has a brass plate that can be rotated to the altitude of owners locality. It weighs 1.79 lbs.
