Description: Up for auction is a beautiful censored postcard cover from Linz Germany from Jaroslav Panec, a prisoner of the Gestapo in the German secret police prison in Linz to a Julie Julie Dolak in Prague. Very rare item. Prisoners were generally not held in Gestapo prisons for long before being executed or shipped to concentration camps. Panec eventually wound up in Buchenwald according to McMaster University's digital collection on concentration camp correspondence. Priced to sell. Postmarked June 21, 1939.
