Description: Up for sale is a straight 1937-1941 Ford Front Axle which measures 38.5" from spring perch center to spring perch center, and ~48.5" from king pin center to king pin center. Overall, this axle is in good condition for its age and I was told this will work for mercury's of the same years. This axle has been in dry storage for many years. There is some normal wear for general use and wear from the spring shackles-see photos. This axle looks nice and straight (based on my inspection). There are two flaws (one on each end) maybe from a floor jack or road debris. I am uncertain, but I am pointing to the worst flaw with a blue pen, in a few photos. The only other flaw is in the same location on the other side and is hardly noticeable, but worth disclosing so the buyer is aware of the exact condition. This axle is marked with (what I believe are) markings “FF18”. Not certain what this may signify but I took a few photos of this identifier. No other markings that I could find.
