Description: "KELLOGG'S WHEAT KRISPIES" ORIGINAL STORE DISPLAY SIGN - (c) 1935 Kellogg Company. 15.5" x 21.25". Color litho on die-cut cardboard. Original easel back display holds complete set of four cloth doll premiums. These full-color "cut-and-sew" doll sheets (each 17" x 13") were offered free with two packages of Kellogg's "Wheat Krispies" cereal. Animal characters (each designed by Snap! Crackle! Pop! Artist Vernon Grant) include Dandy the Duck, Freckles the Frog, Dinkey the Dog, and Crinkles the Cat. These original doll sheets are uncut (as found on this original stand-up). A scarce Kellogg's "point-of-purchase" store display with outstanding eye appeal. Condition is considered FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Cardboard signage itself has misc. litho paper deterioration (most noticeable on edge areas) with scattered litho paper buckling and edge chipping. Scattered small cardboard edge tears, largest being approx. 3/8". Cloth doll sheets have scattered areas of surface staining/discoloration (a large part due to the die-cut tabs the sheets were fastened to on display). Moderate surface/corner creasing on doll sheets with no tears. Color are still bold, bright and attractive. Despite obvious defects, we feel this uncommon display is still very displayable by most standards (see photos). Overall, we feel it would make a spectacular CEREAL PREMIUMS display for the discriminating VINTAGE KELLOGG'S ADVERTISING and/or TOY MEMORABILIA enthusiast.
