Description: this is a vintage (1930's) steel Hampden Brewing Co. of Willimansett, MA beer or ale serving tray that would have been used by waitresses in a local bar or tavern - the tray measures approx. 13" across & depicts a somewhat ugly waiter bringing a couple of ales upon his steel tray to some thirsty customers -below the waiter's image on the tray is the phrase : "who wants the handsome waiter?" the tray is in good vintage condition considering that it is approx. 90 years old - there are some scratches & small abrasions on the surface of the top of the tray (see photos) - on the reverse there are a couple of small superficial rust spots & some scratches & abrasions (see the last photo) - as a coincidence, this same advertising tray sold at Morean Auctions of Brimfield, MA on July 9, 2023 for $350. plus "buyer's premium" of 25% = $437. total - (see photo 7) that tray was in excellent vintage condition -
