This Grade 974 w/17 jewel pendant set movement watch with sapphire jewels is NOT a railroad grade watch.Watch has a 3/4 plate open face movement with a Breguet hairspring, Reed regulator and a nickel finish with pretty damaskeened pattern. Watch has a very nice single-sunk dial with second hand register and fancy Arabic numerals and is marked "Hamilton". Spade and Whip watch hands have a bold blue-black finish. The watch was manufactured circa 1927 with movement Serial Number: 2472107. The movement appears very clean and watch keeps good time. Watch is encased in a Star Watch Case Co 10k Gold Filled screw back and bezel case (Serial number: 8388194). Inside the case back, the following inscription "From Emma to Ed" is found. On the case back is found the monogram "EWD". Watch measures 50 mm in diameter X 62 mm long (at bow) X 14 mm thick (crystal included).
