Description: Original vintage 1926 true crime book "The Traitor: Being the Untampered with, Unrevised Account of the Trial and All That Led to It" written by the perpetrator, Harry K. Thaw. Thaw was the heir to a multi-million dollar fortune and was infamous for murdering the well-known architect Stanford White on top of the roof of Madison Square Garden in 1906. This book recounts his side of the story and gives an account of the trial. The book is overall in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. It comes in its original dust jacket which is in good condition with some minor wear and some old repairs on the underside near the top of the spine. The jacket comes in a removeable mylar wrapper. The actual red cloth covers only have some minor wear. The interior is lightly toned from age with some scattered light foxing. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection such as a light bit of foxing or grubbiness, tiny chip or tear, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 7 3/4 inches by 5 1/4 inches and is 271 pages long. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
