Description: CABARET PROGRAMS Click images to enlarge Description 1925......FOLIES BERGERE......ALBUM Listing here an early Folies Bergere Album; a large format magazine full of nude show photos printed on shiny white art paper. This was a de luxe product that unashamedly showed female nudity at a time when nudity on the stage could only be seen in Paris and Berlin. These magazines were only available by post with a cover price of 10 francs, whilst the smaller souvenir programs sold at the theatre had no nudity with a more modest price of 2 francs. The photos in this Album are mostly black and white but there are also some colour photos. The magazine has a minimum of text, so this is essentially an illustrated magazine, full of photos. Production - 'Un Soir de Folie' 1925 Publisher - Editions Artistiques, Paris Size - 9½ x 12 ins, 24 x 31 cms. Thick card covers, staple binding, unpaginated, 38 pages. Starring - Suzy Beryl and Benglia. CONDITION We source most of our large format albums from bound volumes that contain six or seven Albums bound together. These Albums are trimmed at the binding stage and glued together at the binding edge but no more than a centimetre. When we remove the individual Albums, this causes some damage (loss of paper and loss color at the binding edge, also some looseness of binding thread). BUT on the positive side, you get clean pages with no finger marks or dog eared corners and bright unmarked covers, apart from binding edge. Payment All our shipments to EU and US are TAX PAID; import and sales taxes are paid by Ebay. Shipments to EU countries will include an IOSS reference number in the address label and a sales invoice will be included with the item. Shipping We combine postage.
