Description: Up for sale is a Thomas Moran 'Grand Canyon of Yellowstone' chromolithograph print printed by Brown & Bigalow of St. Paul, Minnesota in 1924. The frame measures 13.5" by 20.5" and the print measures approximately 10" by 17.5". This print is still in it's original frame (with glass) and matting done by Brundidges of Reno, Nevada. My great grandparents, who immigrated from Italy in 1915 and settled in Truckee, California (near Reno), bought this print new. It hung in their home until they passed and then my mom inherited it. I can't speak for my great grandparents but my mom always (50+ years) had this print hanging in a hallway with no exposure to sunlight. That might explain the still bright colors on this 100 year old print. Other than some slight tears to the paper backing, this print and frame are in excellent (stable) condition.
