Description: This is in rough condition but an interesting look at what the author considered what an American boy in 1916 would find interesting to make. It has been reprinted but I like the feel of the original even in this condition. It has a sleeve pasted inside the front cover from the Chicago Public Library in Rogers Park. You can see this book was enjoyed by many young people over the years. The binding is tight. The library stamped some pages, some pages have tears, at least one is missing a corner but I can't see any text missing and all are legible. Covers have edge and corner wear. etc. Original copies appear to be scarce. 256 pages remain. Apparently at least 2 pages are missing from the back. First and title page also torn out. Doodles inside back cover. Who wouldn't want to build a working model of a Grain Elevator? Some of the models include A Toy Crane, a Cigar Box Dump Car, A Cigar Box Railway Line, A Threshing Machine , A zither, A Perpetual Calendar etc. Buyer pays cost of Media Mail. International buyers welcome. I pack carefully and use recycled materials when possible. I would be happy to answer any questions or send more photos. Returns are allowed if my description wasn't accurate. Seller pays return shipping. I am happy to combine shipping if you wish to purchase more than one of my items. Please watch my auctions for other tools, especially woodworking items, paper, books, occasional bottles and who knows what else.... Thank you for looking at my store; Toby's Tools (and books)
