Description: Here is a great original military watercolor by the British artist Arthur Chidley (1876 - 1941), it is done on a board and is matted. It is titled Scots Guards 1915 on the mat, and on the back of the board it has some notes including that they are crossing a pontoon. The mat is 14.5" x 19.5", the visible scene is 8.5" x 13.5". See the photos for the exact condition, there is some normal wear from age, the board is loose behind the mat so needs to be attached before framing (it will look great framed).
