June 3 and June 4 are the only dates printed on the ticket, but researching the local newspaper archives pinpoints the year as 1909. The free ticket admitted up to five women on June 3 and up to five men on June 4. Scoville was the most effective mass-evangelist among the Churches of Christ and Christian Churches. He baptized thousands of believers while traveling the U.S., usually with large troupes. This extremely rare ticket measures 2 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches and is in very good condition.
