Description: This is a rare copy of ALICE in words of one syllable from 1908. The book is in GOOD Condition with heavily age toned pages due to the inexpensive paper stock that Saalfield used to make their books affordable en masse. The frontispiece is nearly detached & the title and content pages have some edge tears. The frontis and title page are slightly brittle and the pages should be turned with care due to their age and the paper used, but other than the frontis, title, and content pages, the pages are in generally pretty good order and the binding- although cracked at both hinges- is firmly attached. The book appears to have had some type of glue repair to the spine. Although I'm unsure of the glue quality, it has a very nice effect & appearance for sure. I can find no writing, no loose, torn or missing pages other than the frontis, title & contents pages as mentioned. There may be some tiny edge issues inside the book that I have missed, but nothing glaring or overt. Overall a nice copy.
