Description: This was purchased at a farm estate auction. Antique handmade egg incubator made of solid wood with dovetail assembly. Slide out drawer has double pane glass on the front. Drawer is lined with metal screening. It has a removable steel waste tray that sits on the bottom of the inside. Very nice piece of historical craftsmanship. It is signed in pencil on the bottom "Property of Chas. Timmerman May 17 - 1905 Sheffield Illinois 12 egg Geese Incubator Steam Operated" The wheels on the bottom look to be added on later, as they look to be made of materials of a later date.
