Pot attaches to base with key at rear (allows pot to be tipped forward to pour out while still on stand) and pin at front. Base has holder for spirit burner. All items quality silver plate. Lots of pictures do not do it justice. Pot is 8 1'2" to top of black handle (bakelite or ebony? whalebone?) over 12" tall on stand. Weighs over 2 lbs. great price! similar style 1901 W&H 51439 no grade mark in poor condition (losing plating on base of pot) and without the burner sold on Etsy for $310 1198904533. Similar style pot (no maker/model) listed on ebay UK 296221072773 for $750, a 1915 A1 grade W&H is listed for $1250!!
