Tunison's name appears in the title as well as in his phonetic logo trademark (2 NI Sun). There is text or another map printed on the reverse. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. Overall, a very nice map with strong color that would frame up well!Historical Note: Henry Tunison (1855-1915), was an Illinois publisher located near Chicago's flourishing publishing industry in the late 19th century. He was a contemporary of George Cram and the Rand, McNally Company, both also in Chicago. Unlike his competitors, who were primarily concerned with mass producing accurate atlases at a low cost for the consumer. Tunison was more focused on the quality of the design and the use of vivid colors to make his maps and atlas stand out better among the competition.Size: The image area measures approximately 10 1/2 by 13" (26x34cm) on a 11 1/2 by 14" (29x35cm) page,Condition: Very Good or better for its age, printed on strong flexible (not brittle) paper, nice and flat for framing. The bottom border is incomplete, otherwise it is very clean, see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map.
