Description: SCARCE EARLY 20TH CENTURY, 1901, AMERICAN ANTIQUE E. J. STANLEY SIX LAYER, HINGED COLOR LITHOGRAPH ANATOMICAL ILLUSTRATED, DISSECTED HUMAN TORSO, INTERIOR TISSUE, MUSCLES, ORGANS & BONES, with a GLUED HINGE on LEFT MARGIN, on VELLUM PAPER, CHART 2'A Picture of Good Health'(Dated 1901)Early 20th century American antique hinged, layered scientific, color lithographed human anatomical, dissected illustrations for education, science & medicine DIMENSIONS:9 ¾" Height x 7" Width DESCRIPTION:This 1901 E. J. Stanley hinged, dissected color lithograph, 3-dimensional, illustrated, human anatomical paper diagram, referred to as 'Chart 2,' was from a lot of two other similar early 20th century American antique diagrams, featuring human anatomy, for use by medical doctors, medical students and for the educational study of human anatomy. It's in very well preserved overall antique condition, with no measurable or appreciable diminishment of the colors used to create the lithograph illustration. This chart depicts the muscular and skeletal bone composition of a human torso. The interior sub-illustrations have a top hinged cover print, which when flipped, reveals another drawing of the interior tissue and bones underneath the paper flap. This is in the spirit of medical dissection and like an autopsy, layers of human flesh are peeled back, revealing their structure and composition. This diagram doesn't suffer from any stains, reglued paper hinges or corner folds. 121 years old and counting. It's in great condition. Complete and very nice. Terrific. CONDITION:Very Good to Excellent overall vintage condition.
