Description: 18th C Print of Earl of Radnors House at Twickenham Thames, A Heckel 1760s 1770s A beautiful hand coloured original antique engraving titled “A View of the Earl of Radnor’s House at Twickenham.” Initialed & Dated in ink to top right LM 1769. Professionally mounted & framed. The print shows a wonderful view of the Earl’s house with sailing boats, a nobleman’s barge and a small fishing craft on the Thames in the foreground. The original artist is Augustin Heckel. There are some similar views dating to 1750s. There is an uncoloured version by HECKEL in the Paton Collections of Orleans House Gallery which they date from 1772. The print on offer is in good order, we’ll mounted and framed, with wire, ready to hang. Wonderful to see how the area looked 250 years ago! A lovely original antique piece. Condition - Engraving - Very good antique condition - minor age related marks. Minor creasing at top left - not noticeable. Frame - minor scuffs at upper corners. Hard to photo through glass - sorry for reflections. Please see all photos to help assess condition fully.
