Description: Here is a very nice old campaign token or medal made of brass, in quite splendid condition overall, measuring app. 1 & 1/2" across, with a plain edge, and it has a loop at the top, as issued. This interesting William Jennings Bryan election item shows just light wear, with only some tiny imperfections not overly distracting, and it has toned well over the years, with good color and full detail. I have not done anything to alter or enhance its appearance, with three of the photos having been "enhanced" for clarity. Although Fred Schornstein's wonderful reference pictures and mentions related pieces, this one is not in the catalog - it may be a product of the Fred H. Tibbetts Company of Columbus, Ohio. The obverse features a large number "16" central, with "Free Coinage" at the top, four stars at each side and the date "1896" at the bottom. The reverse has a small "Pat Appld For" across the center. No cross of gold! $100. Please note I am always happy to combine shipping costs should you win more than one of my auctions, and I usually add just a minimal additional cost per item. Your business is sincerely appreciated!
