Description: Rare Antique LIMOGES, France, Oscar Gutherz Decorator, set of hand painted portrait plates/bowls. There are no cracks, chips, crazing, repairs, damage to any pieces. Each piece is hand painted. LIMOGES porcelain is the finest hard-paste porcelain in the world. The back stamps date this set to the 1890-1898. The red mark is a decorating mark of Oscar Gutherz of Austria who worked only a short time in Limoges in the late 1800's. In 1898 Edgar Gutherz joined Oscar as the brothers joined to produce under the O.&E.G. Royal Austria.
