Description: Incredible rare and early Odd Fellows record, with the text “entered according to act of congress in the year 1000 and 890 by J.M. Vickroy in the office of the librarian of Congress at Washington DC” on the bottom left. JM Vickroy only began producing lithographs for fraternal groups in 1885, making this piece from his first 5 years of production. There are very few, if any, unmarked examples such as this remaining in the world. Overall the condition of the document is good for its age, although it shows discoloration and several very small areas where the paper has chipped away. It’s difficult to tell what marks are dirt on the inside of the glass and which are on the document, and I won’t be removing the document from the frame to find out due to its fragility. The frame is very rough on the edges but has done its job over time of protecting the record. Please inspect the photos closely as they are the best way to convey the overall shape of the document and frame, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. Document is roughly 27 3/4” tall and 21 1/2” wide. Frame is roughly 36” tall by 30” wide.
