Description: Copper-Nickel Coin 1885 AD Uncirculated Egyptian Two Tenth Qirsh Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II 1293 AH Reginal Year 10 For your Egyptian Coin Collection-EGC762 Details Description: A nice uncirculated 1293 AH 10th reginal year of Sultan Abdul Hamid II or 1885 AD Egyptian two milliems (two tenth of a Piaster or Qirsh) copper-nickel coin. The coin depicts the tughra of Abdul Hamid II with the reginal year 10 under it surrounded by floral decoration and a rose to the right on the obverse. The reverse shows the denomination in Arabic numeral in the center and letters, also indicates the coin was minted in Egypt (duribah fee Misr) and has the accession date of Abdul Hamid II to the throne as 1293 AH surrounding the number 2. The coin is beautiful with well preserved and very readable details and nice toning. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description. Date: 1885. Mint: Misr (current day Fustat on the outskirts of Cairo the capital of Egypt). Size and weight: This is a 2 milliemes or 2/10 Qirsh or Piaster, weighs 2.42 grams and is 18 mm in diameter. References: It is KM #290. Condition: I would grade this coin as a nice uncirculated with all the details being well preserved and having nice eye appeal. The coin is beautiful and is nicely toned. It has a few minor bag marks and a few minor scratches. The coin is much better than the photos suggest. The coin has no wear commensurate with its uncirculated status.
