A great find from a local New England estate! This antique volume is over 140 years old! Great condition! Tight and square! Original publisher cloth binding shows light wear overall including rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and some rubbing and soiling to the page edges. Gilt title lettering to the spine reads easily from the shelf. A well preserved antique tome overall! Internally, this volume is in good shape as well. Both boards and all page groupings remain attached to the binding. Inscription in pen visible on the front fly page, dated 1883. Otherwise clean with no bookplates, signatures or library markings to note. The text block of this volume is very clean throughout. Pages show typical age-related toning, as well as some light foxing and soiling scattered throughout, but otherwise this volume is clean and free from other blemishes. Perfectly readable throughout!
