Description: Boudoir cabinet card photograph of Cole’s Hill and buildings in Plymouth, Massachusetts, circa 1880s. No photographer or publisher identified. The view, entitled Canopy over Plymouth Rock, Cole’s Hill, shows a fancy stone pavilion set over a boulder protected by an iron fence with a small hotel building on the hill behind it and a couple of other houses at left and right. A flight of stone steps leads down the hillside at left. The Canopy over Plymouth Rock was built in 1880. The cabinet card is in good condition with only light wear and soiling. The photograph exhibits good or better tonal range and shows good or better detail. There are light scratches scattered about the surface of the photograph. A nice bit of Plymouth MA history!
