Description: This listing is for an early book printing of "A Visit From St. Nicholas," dated 1880. Rare blue cover variation. The book is a beautiful compilation Christmas artwork and writings popular at the time, including "A Visit from St. Nicholas" accompanied by an early illustration by Thomas Nash. It measures measuring 7 x 9 Construction is hardcover, cloth over boards with gilt cover designs and page edging. This 145 year old book is in good/acceptable condition overall. The cover shows wear to the corners and considerable fading, but still presentable. Pages are clean except for a small ink blotch at the top of the St. Nick page (see photo). Binding is tight.
