Description: Clean / Delail, and some environmenal damage This is a example of a 1877-S, silver Trade dollar. This dollars was minted in1877. At the mint in San Francisco, California, they made 9,519,000 . These silver trade dollars were being used overseas for international trade to countries mostly in Asia. This coin was graded by P.C.G.S. and it appears the surface had been detail cleaned, at sometime in the past. So it was graded with the stipulation, making it a XF fine coin. But it is still a very sharp looking coin as P.C.G.S.does not give a gold shield on ever coin they grade, which was a good sign. Really nice example of a silver trade dollar. Well worth considering adding to a collection. I just notice there is a cat hair that should not be in the photo. The coin is not scratched. We have cats that are putting on their winter fur.
