It is from an 1874 editon of Colton's General atlas, a copy of the title page is included. It has an actual copyright date of 1873 in small print on the map states as "Entered according to Act of Congress in the Year 1873 by G.W. & B.C. Colton in the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington." Colton's name and publication information is in the title area. It is not mounted, matted nor framed, being sold as a single loose map as seen in the main pic. A copy of the title page is also included for authenticity. Size: The map image measures approximately 17 by 24 inches (40x65cm) on a 17 1/2 by 28 1/4" (43x63cm) page with a margin all around for framing as seen in the pic. Condition: The map is in Fair condition with a centerfold as issued. It does have a rich patina with tonal ageing, handling smudges and a couple of bent corners. The centerfold was separating and has been reinforced with acid free materals, so the map is no longer foldable but very flat for framing, see the pics for more on condition.
