Description: 1872 PEAR’S SOAP Counterstamped French 10c Coin - Much Rarer Later Date (D199) It was illegal to deface British currency so the owners of Pear’s Soap got hold of lots of French coins and stamped their advert on those coins instead. Ebay seem to be losing my second images, sometimes even the first! Everything should have a heads and tails if it’s a coin. If you see anything that looks like it’s missing an image or two, please let me know and I'll sort it. Thnx!
