Description: Original hand signed $20 “State of Arkansas” Bond issued to “P.W. Wheat”. It has three of the original coupons left. The bond was printed by “J.D. Butler, Print. Lit. Rock” and has the hand inscribed serial number “21026”. As per the official records there was a “P.W. Wheat, 50th Arkansas Militia, Company H, Quartermaster” who served during the Civil War. The Bond measures 5 ½”” x 8 1/2”. The Bond comes in an archival sleeve and backing sheet. The note will be shipped in a protective sleeve with a dated, hand signed Letter of Authenticity with a photograph of the currency above.
