Hyson was also the first tea ordered by George Washington after he became president.John Ward is listed in the 1868 directory as a Tea Dealer at the address printed on the note. He was in business as late as 1900 when he was listed as a Tea Broker at the age of 70. This note grades About Uncirculated+ with a light residue spot on the reverse and a tiny tear on the bottom edge. It measures ~ 6" x 3.25".
