Description: This is an 1860 Gazetteer of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, written by Dr. Jeremiah SpoffordA very nice collection of the geographical and social make-up of the state at the time of the Civil War This copy is in good overall condition. The spine-cap is splitting off, but still connected. There is chipping at top and bottom of spine and damage to board corners (see pics). Internally quite nice. Binding is tight, pages show toning but are clean. The pull-out map has some foxing but is otherwise in remarkable condition. A really nice historical piece.
