In this two-volume work, Morley gives an account of the life of Gerolamo Cardano (1501-1576), an Italian polymath who was a physician, biologist, physicist, chemist, astrologer, astronomer, philosopher, writer and one of the most influential mathematicians of the Renaissance. CONDITION In a cloth binding. Externally in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, apart from some spotting to the first and last few pages of each volume.
