It is from the1844 edition of Dr. Samuel Butler's General Atlas of Geography, (London: Longman & Co., 1844). It is drawn and engraved by Sydney Hall whose name appears in the bottom right margin. The publisher's address is in the bottom center. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. Butler's General Atlas was a rarer publication that combined both his maps from his Modern Geography and his Ancient Geography in a larger atlas with the maps published without centerfolds, which makes them very desireable for framing. Size: The map image measures approximately 7 by 9 inches on a 8 1/2 by 11" page with a margin all around for framing. Condition: The map is in Good condition with overall tonal aging and original handcolor as issued, printed on heavy paper and blank on the reverse. It is basically as seen in the pics. Other than a couple of light handling smudges in the margin, it is very clean and would frame up nicely. Pics are of the actual map.
