Description: Tough Variety & Beaded Obv Border! 1836 Capped Bust Half Dollar O-108 1836/1336 PCGS VF30 An attractive, crusty patina of warm grey, icy blue, lilac and gold over each side. The die cracks through the base of 1 and through the right stars, that separate 108 from 108A, are just beginning to show up. Very faint, old-time cleaning hairlines are present beneath the attractive patina; noted for accuracy, as they it did not bother PCGS. It has long been said that only the reverse die used on the O-106 die marriage shows the experimental beaded border. Actually, we recently documented that the obverse die of O-108, the 1836 over 1336 variety, actually has a beaded boarder obverse! A very interesting pair of dies, and a very exciting development for a variety that is normally only known for a faint overdate. The easiest feature of the overdate is the ball of a 3 inside the lower loop of the 8. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE RETURN POLICY!
