Description: PCGS authenticated and graded AU 55. Glossy deep olive gray brown and light brown with hints of frosty golden brown in some protected areas. There is also a reddish chocolate brown spot under the chin, and a tiny nick on the dentils under 8, with satiny lustrous, smooth surfaces. E-MDS. A strong die crack joins the tops of the 1 & 7 in the date extending right through stars 10-13, a light crack joins the bottom of the 7 to the rim below, and there is a die crack passing through the top of the 18 left through star 1. The remaining obverse die cracks are clear but the triangular section between the cracks on the left side of star 1 has not started to rise. A nice example of this scarce variety.
