Description: This is a Spanish icon painted on tin. It displays Virgin Mary with baby Jesus in her arms.In the lower margin the inscription says "Nustra (sic!) Senora de Atocha".Senora de Atocha was a name of Spanish galleon that sank in storm near Florida Keys in 1622.Note that the first word was misspelled - Nustra instead of Nuestra.Despite the misspelling, the painting is of a great quality and shows a real talent.It is ina decent condition, except a small scratch in the left margin close to the bottom.The tin measures about 10" x 13 1/2".
