This beautifully designed medal belongs to the ‘English Monarchs’ series by Swiss medallist Jean Dassier and is of bronze composition, 31g 39mm (Similar to five shillings crown in size and weight). Very early casting of bronze, 18th century medal. Forms part of a full series of then English monarchs, a full set of which is worth a large amount of money today.
