14K GOLD 7MM PEARL W/ DIAMONDS & BLK ONYX COCKTAIL RING VINTAGE TUCSON ESTATE

Description: From a Catalina Foothills estate in Tucson is this well crafted I believe 1960's or so 14K solid yellow gold cocktail ring, here done up bypass fashion with a central 7mm round Akoya pearl. That lustrous orb is framed by a yin yang of sparkling diamond accents and raised black onyx insets - a visually compelling and aesthetically timeless configuration. Some believe pearls are symbolic of wisdom and purity, and also of strength when coupled with onyx - whether or not you are of that mindset, this vintage ornament will be just the thing for that next occasion (or even everyday for those of a certain spirit). There is a clear "14KP" for plum or exact karat gold, along with an "Exquisite" jeweler's brand name in script. Weight is good for the form at about 4.6 grams on my portable digital scale. Condition is quite fine, with a nice aura of time to the clean gold surfaces. The white pearl centerpiece retains full measure of its luminous nacreous surfaces. I see no evidence of any subsequent size adjustments at the back of the shank. In fact, all normal and expected minor signs of what must have been occasional previous service simply validate a history. A look at the pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition. Size is about 6 1/2 or perhaps 6 3/4 on my jeweler's ring mandrel (the bottom edge of the shank reaches between those lines on the mandrel, with a very small amount of room showing. About 9/16 in. vertical at the front - so yes it will be noticed.
