Description: I have to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. Modelcollect is a relative newcomer to the model world but has established a fabulous reputation for innovation and quality. They initially produced some small scale finished models and later branched out into kits and larger scales. Their niche market has been as the only source for unique subjects related to the Fist of War games, including many hypothetical subjects that never really existed. This interesting kit falls into that category. This aircraft was actually on the drawing board when the war ended, although under the designation Fw239. It was sometimes known as the Focke-Wulf 1000x1000x1000 project since the goal was to deliver a 1000kg bomb to a 1000km range at a speed of 1000km/hr. I am sure that is where Modelcollect came up with Focke-Wulf 1000. There are now over a dozen listings for this kit on eBay (mostly from distant overseas sellers), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have it in stock and can reliably ship this kit very quickly. Here is what I have learned about this state-of-the-art kit: The Modelcollect website has a page for this kit that shows the impressive box art along with the contents spread out and the complete instruction set and painting guide. From other sources, I have found the following information about their kit: The concept of the Fist of War series is based on an alternative timeline in which the end of WWII is delayed by two years, where we explore the possibility of what the hypothetical advancement of weapons development being affected in and since this time period. The Focke Wulf Entwurf B 3x1000 (another designation: Focke Wulf Fw-239) was a design of the German medium bomber in the flying wing configuration from the declining period of World War II. The machine has never been prototypes, much less entered production. The propulsion was to be provided by two Heinkel HeS 011 turbojet engines. It was assumed that the length of the aircraft would be 5.8 meters with a wingspan of 14 meters. The top speed was to slightly exceed 1000 km / h. The machine did not have a permanent on-board armament, but it was planned that it would be able to carry a load of bombs weighing up to 1000 kilograms. Design work on the Focke Wulf Entwurf B 3x1000 began in 1944, due to the new requirements of the German Luftwaffe, which wanted to obtain a jet bomber capable of reaching speeds of 1000 km / h and which could carry 1000 kg of bombs with a range of at least 1000 kilometers. Within this specification, Focke-Wulf has developed three designs, designated Entwurf A, B and C, from which the Entwurf B was derived from a flying wing configuration. It is worth adding that it was supposed to be characterized by very good aerodynamic properties and relatively good maneuverability. The plane, however, never got past the design stage. · This is the 1/48 model kit of the German Focke-Wulf 1000 “Fast Bomber”· Cockpit details and bomb bay are intricately recreated· Flaps, landing gear and air brake parts can be built either in flight or parking position· SC1000 bomb, clear canopy parts included· High quality Cartograf water slide decal is included. Scalemates.com has a listing for this kit showing it is a brand-new 2022 tooling. They provide a link to download the complete full-color 16-page instruction sheet and painting guide. They show the stunning box art and have a link to a review (referenced below), but not much useful information about the kit. Karsten Schulz published an enthusiastic In-Box Review on the German-language kitreviewsonline.de site with over twenty photos of the sprues, fuselage/wing halves, decals and that full-color painting guide. The detail on the parts is amazing and great care has been taken to package everything securely. The final words in the review were: “Models on the "Luft 46" theme have always had an appeal for me. I therefore welcome this model. Due to the small number of parts and the simple structure at first impression, this is a nice project for the side.” This kit is in an absolutely beautiful box about 13” x 10” x 2.5”, with a great image of this elegant bomber. As you can see from the pictures, the package is pristine and still sealed with tape strips (these were never shrink wrapped from the factory), so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit, with light grey plastic parts, Cartograf decals and a very nice 16-page instruction booklet. It requires cement and paint to complete as shown. I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays winning bid and for a limited time, this item is offered with $9 Flat Rate Shipping in the US! No reserve and a low starting bid. Check out my other great auctions and listings for combined shipping. Good luck! Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder). As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
