Here we have an antique turtle/tortoise novelty German hotel counter Desk Bell .Made from cast iron, this turtle-shaped desk bell was made in Germany between 1880-1940 and features clockwork functionality.The shell is made from a plastic type material.Has 'Germany' and '7.4800' stamped underneath. This item is in great condition for its age with age related wear and tear. Still working but not as well as it would of when first made. The front part of the shell has broken underneath as shown in the attached pictures. Ref.
