Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE I have to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. THIS IS MY LAST ONE! I watched Hogan’s Heroes every chance I got when I was growing up. It was on every weekday with back-to-back episodes in syndication. The show was pretty unrealistic (or it would not have been a comedy) but this kit is a bit more serious. It has a complete engine and chassis with removable hood and choices for grills, seats, wheels and accessories. It can be finished to look like a Stalag 13 prop from the show with funny decals and markings. It can also be made up as a war-fighter, complete with a pintle-mounted machine gun and other weapons. The third option is to doll it up as a civilian Jeep with a surrey top and colorful markings for Café Roma. If you believe in reincarnation or even simply giving second chances, then you should respect the mission of Round2 Models. They take vintage molds and re-release them to an appreciative audience looking to relive fond memories. They have all of the classics that I remember from my mis-spent youth, from muscle cars to TV shows and Sci-Fi movies. There are plenty of listings for this kit on eBay (from a wide variety of sellers), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this item to you very quickly. Here is what I could find about this fun kit from around the web: The Round2 website no longer shows this product so I assume this means the kit is Discontinued and Out Of Production, so this may be a good chance to grab one before they are gone for good. From other sources, I found the following features of this updated kit: · Molded detailed plastic parts in light grey, clear and chrome plated · 3 in 1 kit can be built as a standard WWII Jeep, a Hogan’s Heroes prop or the Café Roma version with tasseled surrey · Expanded decal sheet · Rubber tires with spare Scalemates.com shows that this kit is a 2003 release based on the 1968 new tooling from MPC that has been the basis of a half-dozen releases over the years. There is a link to download the complete 4-page instruction set and finishing guide. There are also links to a review, several project galleries and generic information about Willy’s Jeeps. Baron von Zach posted a quick In-Box Review on the French-language heller-forever.forumactif.com site. We get a nice shot of each of the kit components and a colorful image of the splendid decals. He describes many of the options included in this kit to make a military version or a civilian version. There are several YouTube videos relating to this kit (and more involving sibling kits). Jan Haayer posted a very short (1-minute) Unboxing Video that is just a montage of photos of the parts laid out with a musical accompaniment. David Chin produced a 20-minute Unboxing / Build Video that starts with opening the box and hauling out the parts. He skips most of the assembly and starts with painting his assembled chassis. He did his as a standard military Jeep and it did come out pretty nice. Right On Replicas delivered a 17-minute Build Review with constant commentary and a step-by-step assembly of the model as the Hogan’s Heroes version. He gives great advice all along the way, so you can use this as an expert tutorial. This kit is in a well-decorated box about 9.5” x 6.5” x 4”. As you can see from the pictures, the package is pristine and still in the original shrink wrap, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit with light grey, chrome and clear plastic parts with five vinyl tires and a nice set of decals, along with rifles, machine gun, tools, gas cans and the option to make military or civilian versions of the Jeep. It requires cement and paint to complete as shown. I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays the winning bid and for a limited time, I am offering this classic kit with $8 Flat Rate Shipping in the US! No reserve and a low starting bid. Check out my other great auctions and listings for combined shipping. Good luck! Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder). As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
