Description: From my collections are two rare +100 year old Victorian royal tiles by the American Encaustic Tiling Company of New York. These were used for fireplace surrounds, bathroom color pop, and borders. They are simply gorgeous with the details. These tiles are very hard to come by and disappearing every day from old Victorian houses. They were placed at the top ends of a fireplace facing each other. The camera flash makes some areas look white; they're not but there are a couple of tiny flea bites. They are 6." by 6" and have a thin wood frame around them. They have the typical crazing consistent with its age, and is missing a bit of glaze on the ridge of her ear and her hair, he is in great condition with the typical crazing. please check pictures.
